Loda steps down from Alliance, Era to play as new carry
The start of a new Era for Alliance.
Long time veteran Jonathan “Loda” Berg has just announced that he will be taking a temporary break from competitive gaming, which means that he will also be stepping down from his captain and carry duties from his current team, Alliance.
The TI3 champion cites that other engagements have resulted in him not being able to entirely focus into Dota 2, which is assumed to be one of the reasons as to why the Alliance has had a very uphill and mostly unsuccessful championship runs over the past few years. Apart also from being the team’s most recent captain, Loda is also handling managerial roles for the Alliance organization as the Dota 2 team owner.
With Loda stepping down from his captain and carry duties, Alliance welcomes former NiP player Adrian “Era” Kryeziu as the team’s new Carry for their TI7 quest whereas the captain duties are handed over to Simon “Handsken” Haag. Era, whose recorded pro-Dota 2 history started back in 2012, has also played for teams Fnatic and LAJONS, his achievements include championship wins on minor and major tournaments such as the Starladder Pro Series, XMG Captain’s Draft, and the 2012 Thor Open.
