First Esports events for the Nintendo Switch takes place at E3 next week!
Arre you ready to answer Nintendo’s first call to Arms?
Nintendo’s new hybrid console, the Switch, may only be going through its first year but Nintendo makes it clear that they are planning to target every major aspect of the gaming market, especially Esports, with the first competitive gaming event for the platform already on its way through the form of the 2017 ARMS Open Invitational.
ARMS is an upcoming fighting game for the Nintendo Switch which uses motion controls, meaning that you would have to physically move your body for your in-game characters to move, as one of the main control inputs, with the other one being the standard Joy-con control buttons. One unique aspect of the game is that the fighters have extendable arms, hence the name, which players can customize depending on Element, and Weight to add more variety to the gameplay.
Before the game is out worldwide for the Switch this coming June 16, 2017, Nintendo invites eager and competitive fans who may wish to try the game out and be held as the first Arms World Champions this coming June 14, 2017, in Nintendo’s booth in one of Video Game’s biggest events, the Electronic Entertainment Expo a.k.a E3.
