Enjoy Video Games, Cosplay and even Robots in this July’s Game Con PH
Play, learn, enjoy.
A new video game convention brand surfaces in the Philippines as RED Wizard Events host their first ever Game Con PH this coming July in SM Megamall, which does not only feature video game exhibits but also has spots for workshops and speaker sessions as well as table top competitions and even video game art exhibits.
Looking to be a “unique” video game event of its own, Game Con PH separates itself from the other well-known names such as the Pinoy Gaming Festival and the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit by incorporating game development workshops which will invite the country’s homegrown game development studios and their representatives such as Synergy88, Most Played Games, and Zeenoh Games for 1 whole day of learning sessions that cover tracks such as Design and Development and as well as Game Art.
Another unique highlight of the event is its Robot, yes, robot, competitions named the Robo Rumble which shares a similar theme to the popular BattleBots series. A total of PHP 40,000 is up for grabs for the grand prize, and interested participants are still welcome to register via the competition’s official sign-up page at GameCon.PH
Gaming tournaments also take center stage at Game Con PH, as they host a competition for Mobile Legends, arguably the country’s biggest mobile game hit of today, and as well as a board game tournament for Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures. Esports fans, particularly for the title League of Legends, are also welcome to experience Game Con PH as the event plans to hold a showmatch between teams Mineski League of Legends and TNC Pro Team LoL during Day 2, and as well as a sample of Ragnarok Online’s PvP with a Ragnarok Showmatch also to take place during the same day. A cosplay competition and as well as other gaming related highlights will also be taking place at Game Con PH, with the registration, mechanics, and schedule available at the event website.
Game Con PH will be taking place this coming July 7 – 9, 2017 at Megatrade Hall B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. Tickets are available for purchase online and as well as onsite, with online purchasers to get early bird rates of PHP 100 per day, whereas onsite walk-ins will have their ticket prices priced PHP 200 per day.
