Absolutely no mercy from EE-sama.

EternalEnvy and Team NP may have already settled the score against Secret yesterday but it is clear that they are not done with the Manila Masters yet as they mercilessly take out Invictus Gaming 2-0 in the Loser’s Bracket Quarterfinals.

Led by FATA-‘s Ember Spirit during Game 1, NP managed to stage a quick comeback after IG‘s BoBoKa, who was playing Slardarand Q‘s Disruptor secured high priority kills with their early rotations. IG‘s most critical mistake in the game was perhaps Op‘s Storm Spirt who was chasing deep into the Dire Jungle only to be taken out by the response squad of NP which then led to BurNing‘s Lifestealer also dying. Although IG did try to bounce back into the game by forcing fights to their favor, another overextension by Op as he desperately tries to take down FATA– results in him falling into pieliedie‘s Flaming Lasso on his Batrider as he gets chopped down with the rest of the IG squad also running low as they try to fight under NP‘s tower. IG will then lose 4 of their heroes in the process and will finally call “GG” on game 1 giving NP the 1-0 advantage.

While FATA- maybe the story of Game 1, Game 2 was centered around EternalEnvy as he uses the Medusa, backed by the surprise Brewmaster support on Aui_2000 and MSS on the Clockwerk offlane with the Warlock on pieliedie  and FATA-‘s Ember Spirit to help ensure teamfight control. IG, on the other hand, went for a combo lineup with BurNing‘s Sven, Xxs‘ Dark Seer and BoBoKa‘s Slardar, with Op using the Queen of Pain. Resorting to a traditional defensive approach, both Aui_2000 and pieliedie will start the rotations this time, albeit slowly, but at the same time, surely killing IG‘s cores. NP‘s lead continued to build up steadily as the game progressed, with most of the farm given to EternalEnv who was then able to secure an early Eye of the Skadi. IG still continued to keep their hopes alive and diminish the net worth gap by finding as much possible whenever there’s a chance to do so. While the early high ground attempts by NP proved unfruitful, a teamfight in the radiant jungle after a retaliating IG chases after NP resulted in BurNing getting taken out which then led to the bottom lane Barracks getting demolished, followed by a quick push towards top, before IG completely concedes the series, and is eliminated out of the tournament.
