ArtStyle states that Virtus.pro’s roster will most likely remain unchanged for TI
Now we just need the roster locked in and we are confirmed.
The top bears of the CIS regions will most likely remain unchanged as far as Dota 2 team coach Ivan “ArtStyle” Antonov in concerned based on what he stated in an interview regarding their Kiev Major journey. According to ArtStlye, he believes that “the guys will spend more than one year together” and will unlikely part until they win a Major title or even TI.

Together with his thoughts about the roster changes for team VP, ArtStyle also shares his insights about the team’s performance saying that while they are upset that they only finished second place in the Kiev Major, everyone else, particularly fans from the CIS region, should also feel satisfied regarding how far CIS Dota 2 pros has reached for the last 3 and a half years, albeit it would have been more satisfying if the team was able to beat OG for the Kiev Major Championship.
As far as how the tournament went, ArtStyle stated that while he favored the Swiss Groups system which was borrowed from Valve’s other major Esports title, CS:GO in its pro events, it would have made more sense if the usual Winner’s and Loser’s bracket format was implemented or to have teams be eliminated based on their groupstage scores, adding that VP took the groupstage lightly knowing that “it would not make any sense“.
Although ArtStyle has stated that no changes will most likely come to VP‘s Dota 2 roster, the Virtus.pro management is still yet to confirm it, and we will all find out if the coach’s word will bear weight once the Roster shuffle hits its deadline this May 24.
