Everybody’s learning from Valve it seems.

Following their success last year, CAPCOM’s Street Fighter V will once again be getting exclusive DLCs related to the upcoming Capcom Cup 2017, which is one of the major pro events for the game, to help boost this year’s prize pool.

Presumably following the gameplan that was first made known by Valve with their The International Dota 2 Championship, the biggest Esports spectacle when it comes to prize pool thanks to its millions of fans that contribute through microtransactions involving event-exclusive content, CAPCOM, and their major partner, Sony, via the PlayStation brand, aims to break prize records again this year after 2016’s tournament surpassed the USD 350,000 mark, adding USD 100,000 more to the base USD 250,000 prize pool thanks to the event-related DLC.

So what are this year’s Capcom Cup DLC inclusions?

First off there’s the new Capcom Cup Collection costumes for the series’ titular duo, Ryu and Ken, a Champion’s Choice Custome, and new Capcom Pro Tour stage, with the latter 2 to be revealed at a later date.

The Capcom Cup 2017-exclusive costumes would cost USD 5.99 when purchased separately, with the stage priced at USD 9.99, arriving at a total of USD 27.96, however, in case you wanna save a few bucks and get maximum value for your cash, you can just go ahead and grab the USD 24.99 Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premiere Pass, which includes the costumes, the stage, and a custom costume color option for all of the 28 characters of SFV.

Well darn, who knew Akuma would look cool in blue?

The Capcom Cup 2017 will be taking place later this year and will serve as the culmination event for the year-long Capcom Pro Tour, one that will crown the world’s best Street Fighter player. As for its event-related DLC, they will be made available in the PlayStation store for SFV soon and will stay in the marketplace until Nov 2017.
