USD 25 to unlock emotes folks.

The livestreaming platform, Twitch, seems to have more plans when it comes to monetization for their broadcasting partners as a supposed e-mail sent by them to an undisclosed streamer unveils new Subscription Rate tiers for users who wish to support streamers by subscribing.

Posted by NeoGAF user imBask, the e-mail suggests new USD 9.99 and USD 24.99 subscription tiers, which, well unlocks emotes, and helps streamers unlock new subscription tiers faster since the USD 9.99 tier equals to 2 subscriber counts, while the USD 24.99 tier equals to 6.

While this may seem good news to Twitch’s streaming partners since it adds to their potential income, the community is a little divided on where to stand and how to handle this supposedly leaked info, with the prevailing question being “Is there any streamer worth USD 24.99?”. The Twitch subscription program is one way for viewers to help support their favorite streamers, while enjoying perks such as exclusive chat emotes, potential giveaways, and chances to play with their idols, together with other ways of supporting livestream content creators such as through donations or by buying any official merchandise if available.

Still, this information is yet to be confirmed by Twitch themselves, and hopefully, we get more info if this leak is true or not in the coming days.
