Heads up, Globe will be hosting a Mobile Legends tournament at PGF 2017

Mobile Esports goes to PGF with Globe’s Mobile Legends Tournament.

The sudden popularity of the mobile game, Mobile Legends: Bang bang has definitely caught the eyes of one of the Philippines’ major mobile network and internet providers, Globe, as they have announced that they will be running a 64-team Mobile Legends tournament at the Pinoy Gamin Festival 2017 this coming weekend.

Globe, who is also PGF 2017’s main sponsor, has been actively trying to ride the Mobile Legends hype train, running data promotions for the game’s players, together with their sub-brand, Touch Mobile.

The tournament will be kicking off its qualifier rounds during PGF 2017 Day 1, starting at 12 noon, with the registrations to take place on Globe’s very own booth at the event. In order to accommodate all 64 teams, Globe will be running its qualifier round of 32 teams each for Day 1 and Day 2, with 4 winning teams of each qualifier day to make it to the final round, meaning that a total of 8 final teams will be returning to Day 3 to compete for the championship title.

There is no news yet as to how much the tournament’s prize pool would be although given that a telecom giant is running the whole thing then it could really be a significantly large amount.

The Pinoy Gaming Festival 2017 will be happening this coming April 28-30, 2017 in TriNoma Activity Center, TriNoma Quezon City.
