Call of Duty: World War II release date leaks ahead of ActiVision’s announcement
Well darn, some people just can’t wait, can they?
Info being leaked ahead of official announcements has somehow become the norm in the gaming industry and even ActiVision is not safe from this unsafe trend as Call of Duty: World War II’s marketing documents, or at least part of them, are leaked via images to the public, listing the game’s basic details and, the most important of all, the release date.
Shared by CharlieIntel, the images are said to have originated from Australia, and details part of Cod: WWII’s campaign, which we tried to predict just a day ago and proved us wrong as it is to be set again in Europe, starting presumably with the D-Day landing in Normandy, one of the most pivotal moments of WWII and is described as the “largest seaborne invasion in history”.
Apart from the single story campaign, the leak also gives us basic deets regarding CoD:WWII’s multiplayer, which is described as “grounded, fast-paced combat across many of World War II’s most iconic locations” and a “High Octane Co-operative” game mode which is a “whole new standalone game experience” complete with its own original story, which we assume to be some sort of a coop campaign.
And last but not least, of course, the game’s release date, as suggested by the leak, will be this coming Nov 3, 2017, yes, later this year and perhaps also just in time for Xbox Project Scorpio, if the Scorpio has backward compatibility with the Xbox One that is, with bonus private beta access should you pre-order the game once it goes into market listing.
