After a very long wait, Valve finally releases the Juggernaut Arcana, calls it the Bladeform Legacy
Seven months. That’s how long we had to wait before Valve released the Juggernaut Arcana.
There were many alleged reasons why Valve took that long to release the newest Arcana. One of those reasons is the release of the New Journey Update, which brought a lot of changes to the game. And with those changes came a ton bugs which of course needed to be sorted out as the game needs to be playable if Valve ever wishes to see Dota2 grow even more.
Keeping up with the New Journey update theme, another alleged reason is that the Monkey King arcana, The Great Sage’s Reckoning, was also released in the time after the arcana vote ended. Valve was smart enough to space out these releases so that the sales of each arcana will not cannibalize the sales of the other arcana.
The last alleged reason is that Valve apparently did not expect Juggernaut to win the arcana vote and, thus, did not even try to think of possible ways to style such an arcana. Valve allegedly was expecting Io to win the arcana vote and Juggernaut’s victory has led to some people saying the vote was rigged.
Now, enough talk about allegations. Let’s talk about the new arcana.
The Juggernaut Arcana is called the “The Bladeform Legacy” and can be equipped in the mask slot.
The arcana will feature new animations for running, using teleport scrolls, and during victory. A custom kill effect will also trigger when a kill occurs after a lethal crit or Omnislash, or on Triple kills or higher. There will also be all-new effects for crits, Bladefury (which can be used with existing custom bladefury effects), and Omnislash.
It will also feature an altered voice pack, a custom Hero Portrait, and a custom dragon spirit Emoticon.
The new arcana costs $34.99 on the Steam store, the same price as all the other arcanas.
