USD 15,000 on the line, plus a chance to fly to represent the region in Dreamhack Sweden.

Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm will be heading to Dreamhack Sweden this coming June 17 – 20, 2017, and the game development giant plans to celebrate their appearance at the world’s biggest LAN party by hosting the Heroes of the Storm Mid-Season Brawl.

To feature 12 teams from 8 different competitive regions, the Mid-Season Brawl is part of Blizzard’s new Esports plans for 2017, wherein instead of the 3-part Seasonal leagues that they did last year, this year’s circuit is divided into 4 major parts, the regular league plays, the Invitational Clashes, the Mid-Season Brawl, and of course, the Global Championship event.

The mid-season brawl is fast approaching, and so are the registrations for 2 WildCard slots that will complete the 10-team slot for the SEA Region’s Mid-Season Brawl lineup, wherein the winner will not only get the lion’s share of the USD 15,000 prize pool but will also carry the SEA banner to Jönköping, Sweden, for the Global Mid-Season Brawl which will have a total prize pool of USD 250,000.

Note that the registration period will only be up until March 29, 2017, at 23:59 GMT+8, which means that interested SEA teams will only have roughly a day as of this article’s writing to try and be part of the tournament. The playdates will be this coming April 1, 2017, for the WildCard Qualifiers #1, and April 9, 2017, for WildCard Qualifiers #2, once the other 2 teams are determined the group stages, together with the automatically seeded 8 teams, which are the top 8 squads based on current rankings, will commence this April 15 – 16, 2017, and the top 6 playoffs to run on April 22 – 23, 2017.

Interested participants can register and secure their WildCard qualifier slots by visiting the official registration page over at Arena.Razerzone.com and also since Razer is one of this tournament’s partners, the top 3 winning teams from the SEA Mid-Season brawl will also be taking home Razer peripherals together with the cash prize.
