Candy Crush TV show gets premiere date
Yes, it’s coming, and it’s coming soon.
What do you do if you become one of the highest-grossing mobile and web game titles of all time? Well, you turn yourself into a TV show obviously, and that’s what Candy Crush just did as it initially announced a TV series, in partnership with CBS late last year.
Now, after a few months of, perhaps production and shooting its initial episodes, the Candy Crush TV show finally gets a release date and that is this coming July 9, 2017, on the primetime slot, and, well, that’s the only new info that we have about it for now.

The game show is planned to feature 2-person teams that will have to overcome Candy Crush-themed obstacle courses, which are described to be “interactive game boards featuring next generation technology” using “wits and physical agility“. We do know that each episode will be one hour long although we’re not sure as to how many episodes CBS, and it’s co-producer Lionsgate Entertainment, has in store for its initial season.
Candy Crush is one of the highest grossing match-3 video game titles for the mobile and web platforms reportedly earning an estimated USD 570,000 on the iOS platform alone, and that’s just only from its US players.
