Blizzard officially confirms the StarCraft Remaster! Coming to PC this Summer 2017
The much talked about graphics update to Blizzard Entertainment’s hit RTS title, and the game that provided the significant leap of Esports into the limelight, StarCraft, has been officially confirmed today by Blizzard Entertainment themselves as they announce the StarCraft Remastered edition coming this Summer 2017.
One of the biggest competitive titles that took the world by storm, and paved way to the superstar status of pro players, the rumor for a remastered version of StarCraft broke out earlier this month by way of the South Korean Sports website, Sports Seoul, that even hinted the game’s then assumed release period.
Now, Blizzard puts the rumors to rest by confirming the remaster of StarCraft, with a video trailer showcasing what changed from old to new
While many of the loyal StarCraft fans that have long awaited this moment are happy regarding the announcement, there are still those who’s expectations were let down, presumably because they were thinking of the graphics remaster as something in the look and feel of StarCraft II.
Nevertheless, this is definitely something to look forward to for the fans of the FPS genre because, let’s face it, watching a Zerg rush on 4K is definitely a piece of modern art, and yes, the remaster will support 4K resolution gameplay.
