MEANWHILE, KH3 IS STILL NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

Square Enix is now reportedly working on a possible new RPG title with their recently established studio, called Studio Istolia in Tokyo, with the production to be headed by Hideo Baba from the Tales series.

The venture, currently named Project Prelude Rune, is aimed towards building “a new fantasy: unfolding across a vast land teeming with life. Nurtured by the earth, the many peoples of this land dare to dream, fighting for what is just” which easily gives us the open world adventure feel that Square Enix may be now fond of with the success of Final Fantasy XV. In accordance with this announcement, Studio Istolia is currently looking for new personnel which, according to Gematsu, includes people of the following expertise to work with the new IP:

  • Battle, Map and UI planners.
  • Character, Map, Monster, Motions, Effects and UI designers.
  • Battles, Tools, Events, Sound, UI, and Technical Support programmers.

Some of the concept art is also being shared around by Project Istolia for Project Prelude Rune which offers the glimpse of the beauty of the game world and as well as some of the characters and monsters.

Meanwhile, as Project Prelude Rune is already well on its way for development, there is still no news about the actual whereabouts of Kingdom Hearts 3 even with multiple gameplay videos, and a screenshot already being revealed over the course of time ever since the original announcement.
