Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 join Nokia’s Android Smartphone lineup
2 new handsets join Nokia’s new lineup of Android devices.
The former mobile leader Nokia is looking to go full throttle in the present generation’s smartphone race as they introduce not just 1 but 2 new Android handsets that will be joining their previously announced Nokia 6.
Announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 will be running on the Android 7 OS, or Nougat, and will have 2GB of RAM capacity. The Nokia 3 will employ a MediaTek MTK 6737 Quad Core Chip, whereas the Nokia 5 will be running using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor, 2.5 Sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass Display, 16GB of internal storage, both expandable up to 128GB and LTE Cat 4 support for network speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
Both devices are expected to roll out during the second quarter of this year and each will have their own special edition versions. The Nokia 3 will be priced at € 139 (~USD 147/~PHP 7,400) while the Nokia 5 will bear a price tag of € 189 (~USD 200/~PHP 10,000).
