The celebratory update brings more stuff to the world of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.

Square Enix, the owner of the hit Final Fantasy video game Franchise, and Gumi, the global mobile publishing company, has just deployed a major update for the mobile title Final Fantasy Brave Exvius which brings a couple of additions and enhancements in celebration of reaching a new milestone.

Now reached a total of 20 million downloads, FFBE’s first major update, dubbed Final Fantasy Brave Exvius 2.0, adds new quests through a new story and as well as new Esper, or a battle summonable unit, Odin which can be unlocked via side mission.

In addition to the new Esper, the 2.0 update also adds a new character, together with the story, named Jake, whose lore describes him as the human leader of the Zoldaad Empire rebels, new trophy rewards, unit cap and material stack increases, and as well as some changes to gameplay which include the continuous auto-battle option, separate Esper loadout per party, and tweaks to energy costs for the in-game dungeons.

Together with this celebratory update, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius global is also running a limited-time 10+1 summon promotion, which not only grants players an additional summon instance but also lets players test out the new enhancement to FFBE’s summoning system that includes granting units of 5-star rarity for players who utilize or use their Rainbow Crystals.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was originally developed by A-lim and published in Japan by Square Enix back in Oct 2015 with Gumi taking the reins of the global publishing last June 2016. The game has been well-received by players, especially by the fans of the Final Fantasy franchise, hitting over 5 million downloads in its first 6 months, and now reaching 20 million in less than a year after its global release.
