Blizzard teases what possibly is the next Overwatch hero
And no, it’s not Doomfist.
Looks like all the hype that Terry Crews is building up for Doomfist, going as far as doing a mock audition for the role, will have to be shelved for now as Blizzard may have other plans for Overwatch’s next hero addition. Possibly teased in a blog post, Blizzard shines the light on the 11-year old Robotics genius Efi Oladele which many now believe would be the 24th hero addition to their hit FPS Overwatch instead of the previously rumored Doomfist.
In the blog post, Blizzard conducts an in-game universe interview with Efi as she talks about her recent achievements, how she got into creating robots and plans for the future which tells us some interesting hints as to what her role might be if she really is the next Overwatch hero. As the interview states that she has created drones to do chores and wants to create robots that will help keep people safe, it is possible that she will be a defensive support that will help spawn shields and healing drones.
Exciting as it may be, Overwatch fans are kinda skeptic regarding the idea of an 11-year old joining the Overwatch battle, some saying that the concept of having a kid killing people doesn’t seem appropriate.
If ever she really becomes Overwatch’s next hero or if Blizzard has different plans for her for the game we are bound to know in the near future, for now, let’s just hope that they issue an apology to Terry Crews for shattering his dreams, and the dreams of many fans of him, becoming Doomfist.
