Blizzard disapproves using Keyboard and Mouse to play Overwatch on consoles
Totally not cool guys.
As it is said to grant you some advantage over the traditional controller, the use of Keyboard and Mouse when playing Overwatch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is a big no, no for the game’s developer, Blizzard as they issue out warnings to whoever is using these said peripherals when playing the game, on a console that is.
According to Jeff Kaplan, VP of Blizzard Entertainment, and Game Director for Overwatch, the team objects to the “use of mouse and keyboard on console” and even encourages players to “reach out to the hardware manufacturers and express your concerns” in regards to the Mouse and Keyboard support for the PS4 and Xbox One.
While they are useable, the Keyboard and Mouse input devices are not directly or officially supported by the PS4 and Xbox One and do grant its users some sort of advantage over the gamepad, especially when it comes to aiming speed and precision.
Although they are against it, Blizzard is open to the possibility of allowing console players to use a Keyboard and a mouse as input devices for consoles, that is if both Microsoft and Sony provide open support for the said peripherals on their console platforms.
