The Frontline has fallen…

Titanfall: Frontline, the mobile card game spinoff to the multiplayer mecha FPS franchise Titanfall, has announced its cancellation yesterday despite receiving positive support from Titanfall fans. Initially announced last year, Titanfall: Frontline was part of the supposedly multi-game deal with South Korean video game developer and publisher Nexon and was originally slated for release back in Fall 2016.

The cancellation was announced through the official Titanfall: Frontline website and Facebook page, with the stated reason being that the development team “felt the experience wasn’t ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall“.  While it maybe the end for Titanfall: Frontline, the developers did leave a promise of developing Titanfall mobile games in the future saying that they  are excited to take some of the concepts that they believe “resonate with players and build off of them in future”.

In lieu with this cancellation, Titanfall: Frontline’s ongoing Beta test will close down all of its servers this coming January 20, 2016.
