Special Force Online hits 2 Million registrants in just over one month after its re-release
Looks like Special Force is back to becoming a big hit in South East Asia.
Dragonfly’s online FPS title, Special Force proved to have a strong re-entry in the South East Asian market through game publisher PlayPark as the game has reportedly hit the 2 Million registrant mark across the region. Re-released back in late November 2016 Special Force Online originally had its Philippine run back in 2008 before it abruptly ceased operations years after.
Reinvigorated Hype Low-End Appeal
Despite being absent for quite some time, Special Force Online was still able to retain many of its previous users during its heyday which possibly helped the game reach the 2 million player registrant mark in just over a month after its relaunch, another huge attribute that we are looking into may also come from the fact that the game runs easily on low-end systems with its minimum requirements to only list a Duo Core CPU, at least 2 GB of RAM and a Geforce 8600 graphics card.
Special Force Online is originally developed by Dragonfly and was initially released back in 2004, its South East Asian release is currently being handled by PlayPark and is available in countries; Philippine, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.
