Lenovo makes their push towards VR with their very own USD 400 headset
A move that could pretty well be the game changer for the VR Field.
Multinational tech company Lenovo has just revealed that they are making a huge push towards the realm of Virtual Reality with their very own VR headgear that is said to both cost and weigh less than the giants Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Previewed by Engadget, Lenovo’s VR headgear will be set to sit at around 350 grams, about 200 grams lesser than the HTC Vive, equipped with 1,440 x 1,440 OLED screens, works with the Windows Holographic VR tech and will have 2 cameras sitting at its frontal facade which we presume to allow a more room-level Augmented reality experience.
While there is no actual release date and pricing being revealed, Lenovo’s new VR gear will hopefully ship later this year and will bear a price tag that will not surpass USD 400, a price that’s significantly lower than other popular VR platforms.
