And it bears a striking resemblance to another popular online shooter.

Tencent, the Chinese E-Commerce giant who now owns League of Legends creator Riot Games, has developed an MMO First Person Shooter based on the popular Robot franchise Transformers plainly called Transformers Online.

Running on Unreal Engine 4, the game uses iconic characters such as Optimus Prime and Megatron and is presumably licensed by Hasbro to do so, with the designs based on both the Original cartoon series and the Michael Bay-directed film universe.

The game modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Point Capture, a melee only mode called Blade Wars and a Vehicle Mode where you escort a payload to reach a certain point while enemies try to stop you within the time limit.

A sample of the gameplay is posted over at MMOCulture.com which showcases pretty much what the game looks like.

As the game is developed by a Chinese company, there is no clear indication yet if it will make it outside China’s walls and into the global audience.
