Asus reveals its gaming-tier addition to their mini PC line.

Small yet powerful may seem to be the new tagline for new gaming-oriented computers as Asus joins the other brands that manufacture mini PCs in adding game or VR ready mini PC units. Introducing the VivoPC X, a mini PC that’s no larger than an Xbox One but comes equipped with a GTX 10-series GPU and a Kaby Lake Intel Processor.

The exact specifications list an Intel Core i5-7300HQ paired with a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU although there is no word as to how much memory capacity the machine can support, it will also come with a standard 512 GB SSD although it is said that you can still attach an HDD for extra storage capacity.

Downsides? Well there are quite a few, as the compact build ended with both the CPU and Graphics Card embedded directly into the motherboard, you would have no way of performing upgrades in the future should the new lineup of GPUs and CPUs roll out but it somewhat expected given the overall size.

Asus’ VivoPC X will roll out starting this March 2017 and will come with a starting price of USD 799 (~PHP 40,000).
