Will Ferrell to star with Evil Geniuses and Fnatic in a Gaming Movie
You may laugh now but remember, they also laughed at Louis Armstrong when he said he was gonna go to the moon, now he’s up there, laughing at them.
In a very surprising development, the Anchorman star Will Ferrell is set to be part of a yet to be named video game movie together with pro players from teams, Fnatic and Evil Geniuses. Revealed by production company Legendary Entertainment, who is known for their video game movie ventures such as the recently released WarCraft film, the movie may possibly set in a humorous tone for, rumor has it, either Michael Kvamme or Jordan Dunn are being looked into as writers.
In regards to the participation of players from teams such as Evil Geniuses and Fnatic, Legendary is stated to be already in talks with the manament of both organizations to hopefully feature them, one way or another, in the movie. According to Gamespot, Ferrell’s role in the film would be similar to his Ricky Bobby in the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby which could mean that he is possibly an aspiring pro gamer who wants to regain his claim to fame after a mishap cost him his career.
Will Ferrell is largely known for his comedic roles in films such as The Anchorman, and has had his share of video games during a charity stream in collaboration with IndieGogo.
