Sony’s Project Field will look to change the way we play card games
It’s time to du-du-du-du-du-DUEL!
We may just be one step closer to
sending people to the Shadow Realm augmented reality card games as Sony reveals Project Field, a tablet and smartphone add-on which players can use as a virtual playing field for their card game duels.
The device could be part of Sony’s plans for a major push towards Mobile Gaming as what was stated by CEO Kaz Hirai back in September after praising Niantic’s use of Augmented Reality for their hit Pokemon GO. Project Field is still under development, albeit a list of supported games is reported to be already being generated, with one of them being a Yo-kai Watch card game.
No news yet if an International release is also being planned, or if iterations that utilize disks and arm pieces will be made in the future.
