Arcade classics such as Pac-man and Galaga are now playable within your Facebook Messenger app.

Facebook’s gaming venture clearly does not stop on their recently launched Gameroom platform as they also tap further into the Messenger application by adding the Instant Games feature. While playing mini-games within the Facebook Messenger app is not new, Facebook augments this capability by adding classic titles such as Pac-man and Galaga to the list of playable mini-games which can be accessed through the Instant Games tab.

Aside from Pac-man and Galaga, the initial lineup will also include Everwing, Arkanoid and even Space Invaders, with partner developers to include Bandai Namco Entertainment, Konami, Zynga and King. Facebook will look to add more to this lineup not only from their partner developers but also from independent partners as they open up sign-ups for more potential partners. Interested developers can sign-up for the Beta should they wish to have their creations included in the Instant Games platform through the sign-up page available within Facebook.
