GIGABYTE to introduce Motherboards and GPUs to their AORUS line
Multinational computer hardware manufacturer GIGABYTE ups their ante in the ongoing brand war as they plan to introduce gaming tier motherboards and graphics cards to their AORUS line.
First conceived back in 2014, the GIGABYTE’s AORUS line is composed mostly of notebooks, and peripherals like keyboards and mice, with the flagship being the AORUS X notebook model. GIGABYTE’s new plan with the AORUS will directly pit it against the gaming sub-brands of its competitors such as ASUS’ Republic of Gamers line and MSI’s own Gaming series.
GIGABYTE will start shipping motherboards for the AORUS this coming January 2017 starting with Intel’s 200-series chipsets whereas the GPUs will have to come a little later as they await both NVIDIA and AMS’s new graphic card lineups.
