Diablo I to be made playable in Diablo III, Necromancer class to also be included in future update
We heard you like Diablo, so we put Diablo I in Diablo III so you can play Diablo while playing Diablo.
As part of their 20th year celebration for their iconic hack and slash RPG Diablo, Blizzard Entertainment plans to release a “remake” of Diablo I within Diablo III by including a 16-level Cathedral location together with Diablo I’s 4 original bosses.
As a full recreation of Diablo I, Frank Pearce co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment states that they will be including an 8-direction only movement update and as well as the old school pixelated graphics option for both old and new players to fully experience what it’s like to play Diablo I.
In addition to the Diablo I update, Diablo III will also soon welcome a new character class through the form of the Necromancer, a long awaited character which will be fully inspired by Diablo II’s necromancer class.
The Diablo III 20th Anniversary patch will be arriving at the Public Test Realm next week for everyone to test out.
