Amazon’s newest move towards Esports will be focused on Casual Mobile Game titles.
Digital Commerce giant Amazon announces yet another major move towards competitive gaming, this time, with a central focus on mobile game titles with their Champions of Fire Invitational Tournament. Inviting popular video game streamers, Champions of Fires plans to put a huge spotlight on the Amazon App Stores mostly downloaded Casual Mobile Game titles: Disney Crossy Road, Pac-Man 256, Bloons TD Battles, 8 Ball Pool and Fruit Ninja Tournament Edition, and will feature a total prize pool of USD 100,000.
While Mobile Games and Esports don’t always mix together, with only a few still working its way up stories of Mobile Game titles venturing into the Competitive Gaming field, Amazon seems to put on a huge bet on their Champions of Fire Invitational event as they plan to host the tournament for a live audience with the venue being the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada USA. An online livestream will be made available via the now Amazon-owned streaming platform titan Twitch and as as well as a televised broadcast via the CBS Sports Network.
The Champions of Fire Invitational Tournament is set to happen this coming December 2, 2016.
