The GeForce GTX 970 is still the top choice among Steam users according to latest Hardware Survey
They’ve gone green, I see.
NVIDIA continues to stay at the top of Steam’s Hardware Survey charts as the results of the August 2016 poll shows that the GPU brand is still the choice for 57.57% of Steam’s Hardware Survey participants.
According to the result breakdown the GTX 970 model sits at the top bunk with a 7.32% Surveyed user share even with the cited performance concern which resulted in NVIDIA having to pay back customers USD 30 as part of the proposed settlement for a lawsuit which dates back to early 2015 .
The new 10-series is also seems to be rising rapidly, with both the 1070 and the 1080 seeing double digit growth from the July results, as 0.98% of surveyed users are already using the GeForce GTX 1070 , and 0.68% are equipped with the GeForce GTX 1080. The 1060, which just came out last August is also rising in popularity as it is now being used by 0.34% of all the surveyed users.
This trend on the 10-series models may continue to rise as more and more manufacturers are releasing their own GeForce GTX 10-series iterations, and with new game titles coming out next year, its is expected that PC users are bound to update their systems, not only to meet video game requirements but also to maximize their system capabilities.
NVIDIA still maintains their lead among Steam users against their closest competitor with more than double the results compared to ATI’s 24.44%.
