Drix Studios’ hardcore top-down shooter Unaided: 1939 debuts on Steam
Looking to play something over the weekend? Try Unaided: 1939
Top down shooters go way back in the history of video games with arguably the very “first” in the genre being the 1926 PDP-1 title Spacewar! and moving further into other titles such as Centipede and Twin Bee and further evolving into games like Alien Shooter and Hotline Miami.
While some top-down shooters may feel like something between a mini-game and an arcade title, they have their own appeal and that appeal is looking to be captured by Independent Developer Drix Studios with the release of their debut title Unaided: 1939.
The game is set on 1939, as the title suggest, where you play as British Spy Vita Banks as she tries to survive behind enemy lines in Germany. With no contact from her agency, is it up to Vita, or you, to weaken the Nazi rise and try to stop World War II from happening. Being a “hardcore” title, enemies can be brutal and will not hesitate in firing a shot the moment you are spotted which opens up at least 2 approaches to finishing the game, one is living up to the spy persona, and another causing all around mayhem with guns blazing.

Or you could use a Bow and Arrow, whichever makes you happy.
Unaided: 1939 is available for PC through Steam for only PHP 319.95* and can be accessed through its Steam Store Page.
