Check out these photos of Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed
Who knew Magneto could look amazing while wearing the Assassin’s hood?
As the release of the movie adaptation to Ubisoft’s titular video game franchise Assassin’s Creed draws near we are treated to more photos of star Michael Fassbender as he dons the hood of Aguilar de Nerha, and as well as the present day descendant Callum Lynch.
The film adaptation was first revealed back in 2012 together with Fassbender on the lead role, although the talks to create an Assassin’s Creed movie go way back in 2011 initially between Sony Pictures and Ubisoft. More negotiations followed suit until the film began filming August of last year and ended on January of this year with filming locations include Malta, London and Spain.
WARNING MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
In the Assassin’s Creed movie, the plot will revolve around the era of the Spanish Inquisition and will feature the Past/Present story connection present in the Assassin’s Creed video games, wherein the present day protagonist will revisit his past memories that date hundreds of years through the Animus, a virtual reality machine that decodes memories embedded in human DNA, which Abstergo, the Animus’ creator and the modern day incarnation of the organization called the Templars, would use to find information regarding the “Pieces of Eden”.
Aside from Fassbender, the Assassin’s Creed Movie will also star Marion Cotillard (Inception), Jeremy Irons (Eragon) and Michael K. Williams (The Wire). The Assassin’s Creed film adaptation will be out this December 21, 2016.
