VR Support is already on the way for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3
Because we all asked for it.
Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo’s Dead or Alive series might just become more “intimate” as the recently released Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 on the PlayStation 4 is set to have Virtual Reality support this coming October 2016.
While Dead or Alive may have been initially known as a Fighting Game title, the spinoff which is the Xtreme series features a lore more of Dead or Alive’s “casual” combat on a beach setting, with multiple modes available such Beach Volleyball, Beach Flag, and of course, the much talked about Butt Battle.
The Virtual Reality mode for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 maybe totally zero on combat however as the VR option will mostly be about viewing the game’s characters in the VR mode’s Photo, Event and Gravure Paradise modes. Using a controller and a PSVR headset, the player can control the camera to reach certain angles and as well as “touching” Dead or Alive Xtreme 3’s featured characters in the VR modes.
Gamer.ne.jp‘s firsthand experience with the upcoming VR mode for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 pretty much gives us the full look as to what we can all do with the upcoming feature.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3’s VR Support will launch at the same day as PlayStation VR’s release, October 13, 2106. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is part of the Dead or Alive video game franchise developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo, the game is originally based of the Ninja Gaiden video game series, and had its first release back in November 26, 1996.
