TI6 Main Event – DC eliminates TNC and EHOME, while Fnatic advance to the next round of the Lower Bracket
It’s a sad day for Filipino Dota 2 fans as the amazing run of TNC Pro Team Dota 2 will come to an end after being eliminated by Digital Chaos. After a great game 1 victory with their Drow Ranger-Morphling tandem on Raven and Kuku, TNC somehow outdrafted themselves in games 2 and 3 as they went a little too greedy on their core picks with the Alchemist, most especially on the third game when both Terrorbalde and Faceless Void have been already drafted. Digital Chaos also took another form in this series, as they opted for a more teamfight centered lineup, that has its strenghts built up on the laning phase by going for Tempo Control cores on w33 such as the Mirana and Moo playing Precision heroes like Faceless Void and Dark Seer.
The South East Asian dream is still kept alive though as Fnatic Dota sweeps Team Liquid off the lower bracket. A heavily fought out Game 1 featured some of the spectacular plays from Ohaiyo‘s Sand King which readily went against Liquid‘s triple BKB squad, and whose crowd control and damage output is backed by 343‘s zombies on the Undying. Game 2 will easily work the way of Fnatic however, as the Malaysians roll through Liquid in double digit leads, and finally securing a spot at the top 4.
Digital Chaos was still not done for the day as they faced the Chinese giants EHOME, who is also makin their Cinderella run this year at TI. However, just like what happened to their last 2 games against TNC, DC‘sPrecision-Playmaker lineup bought easy victories for the North Americans, and EHOME will have to settle for 5th-6th place.
In addition to the Main Event games, the long awaited Underlord has also been finally revealed to the delight of the Audience in the 10-versus-10 All Star Match. The last hero in Dota 2’s 112 hero roster will be entering the game this coming August 23, 2016.
