Day 1 results of Group A for the TI6 Groupstages are in, and the Pinoys are safely securing a spot for Top 4 amidst multiple tied scores.

The smorgasbord between past TI winners, a 2-time major champion, a Chinese veteran and the spectacular underdogs ends its first day battles for the The International 2016 Groupstages, and presumably a couple of predictions for today are once again shattered by the results multiple ties.

Breakout team TNC Pro Team Dota 2, with their first appearance at TI6 after winning the SEA Qualifiers, uneasily sits at the top 4 spot after trumping over Wings Gaming (2-0), and tieing a match with Natus Vincere (1-1). The Pinoy contenders have set to reclaim themselves after being trashed by TI3 winner Alliance (0-2) on their first match, with the Swedes surpassing TNC with a well executed hyper aggressive strategy.

Alliance wipeouts TNC in Game 1 of their Best of 2 series, however, even with a 0-2 lost, TNC will reclaim 3 victories in their preceding matches to secure a top 4 spot.

Oh the other hand, Evil Geniuses, who received much scrutiny after their mid-major shuffle proved how they are the TI5 Champions by tieing their series with OG (1-1) and LGD (1-1) while completely defeating Na’Vi (2-0). The young mid-laner Suma1L gets on par with the 9K MMR Fundamental of OG that is Miracle- and even surpassing Na’Vi‘s Dendi with playmaker picks such as Puck, Templar Assassin and even a Huskar.

Suma1L's Huskar proved to be more than enough to handle against Wings Gaming.

Wings Gaming will tie up their score with Alliance albeit 1 position higher with both teams ending day 1 with a 3-3 score, and will sit below TNC Pro Team Dota 2, Natus Vincere will end the day with a 4-2 on the scoreboard, while Escape Gaming will only have one win for today, ending their day 1 with 1-5.
