The second day of the Groupstages for Group A has come to a close with an amazing surprise from the Filipino run as they sweep LGD and gave EG fans a heart attack.

TNC Pro Team Dota 2 has proven that they are not a team to be taken lightly as the Filipino squad completely takes down xiao8‘s LGD Gaming (2-0) even going as far as stomping them in their second game with a 22-4 kill score on their favor. Albeit still struggling against their Western counterparts, TNC, continuously proves that while experience is their only bane in TI6, their combined individual skill is still a force to be reckoned with amazing plays being pulled off by Kuku who is now back in the solo lane role and Raven.

TNC proves that a setback is a real setup for a comeback as after coming back from Game 1 they proceed to dismantle LGD in Game 2.

While easily securing their first series, North American Evil Geniuses will halt TNC‘s quest for a perfect Day 2 but without suffering from a near heart attack on Game 1 in which the Filipinos refused to call GG even after losing all their lanes and the game already lasting more than an hour. The grand-final quality combat of Game 1 is easily the best game of TI6 as of the moment featuring great plays from both teams that showcased extreme teamwork like EG‘s 4-Force Staff build to keep Fear alive for the duration of the late game fights, and TNC‘s quick reaction plays against the North American ganks. The game will also not end without some light banter as DeMoN, in true spirit of South East Asian Dota 2, almost picks a fight with PPD after a sudden pause.

Evil Geniuses will proceed to win the series against TNC (2-0) while also defeating Synderen‘s Escape Gaming (2-0) to solidify their lead in Group A for Day 2. On the other hand LGD, after suffering a defeat from TNC, will continue their Day 2 losing streak, after being defeated by Na’Vi (0-2). OG Dota 2 will have a pretty light day albeit finishing second place with a 3-1 score for Day 2 (Escape 0-2, Wings 1-1) while Alliance (Na’Vi 2-0, Wings 0-2) will tie up their overall group score with TNC with a 5-5 total.
