New Dota 2 update finally brings Underlord together with new UI additions
We are officially out of Beta B O I Z.
The final hero to the original Defense of the Ancients roster is finally ported into Dota 2 as the new Dark Rift update teleports out of Valve’s servers.
Vrogros, the Underlord, perhaps one of the least favorite heroes in Defense of the Ancients and also one with a very interesting AoE-based skillset which includes Damage-per-second and Damage-overtime elements, Magic Immunity piercing disable, Damage Output Increase, and a Global Range Unit Target mass teleport.
The Underlord was teased during the pre-TI6 season and was finally revealed to the audience’s delight during the The International Dota 2 Championships 2016 All Star match together with its official release date of August 23, 2016.
In addition to a new hero, Valve also adds UI updates with the new patch which is more focused on the players’ post-game summaries. The new additions include a much more elaborate dissection of game statistics such as an updated scoreboard view, detailed analysis of individual player performance, and even an EXP and Net Worth graph showcase which was previously visible only to match spectators.
Full info regarding this new Dota 2 update is available via the Official Dota 2 Blog.
Vrogros the Underlord will complete the official 112 hero roster from Defense of the Ancients, in addition to him, a new hero called Sun Wukong, the Monkey King will also be arriving in Dota 2 together with a possible in-game event called “New Journey”. A new hero concept based around the Necromancer theme is also believed to be hinted in Dota 2’s newest comic feature, A Dark Purpose.
