The first match results are in,get to see who advances and who falls to the lower bracket in the Wildcard rounds.

The Filipino versus Chinese brawl continues in the digital arena as Execration takes on EHOME in Round of the Wildcards. A tale of back-and-forth fights, amazing plays and great saves was the tale of these 2 teams, but sadly however, only one gets advance and another will have try once more.

Battle Log

Execration is looking for a strong start at game 1, not minding the core Warlock pick from EHOME as they net the first kill off Fenrir‘s Phoenix after a successful chain stun by Tim‘s Magic Missile and Kimo‘s Sacred Arrow. The match up seemed to favor EHOME on paper though, as a 5-on-5 duel between the Chinese Warlock+Phoenix+Sven lineup might be fatal against Execration‘s Juggernaut+Weaver core. While the game seemed even, Execration committed an early mistake in the laning phase as they were not able to fully apply full pressure on iceiceice‘s Sven and Fenrir‘s experience-hungry Phoenix, slowly opening up the mid-game in favor of EHOME. This fact became clear once the rotations started for the Chinese as a quick rotation at mid-lane secures the kill on Abed and nearly nets a tower at bottom by utilizing old chicken‘s golem which was spent for the fight. The Filipino squad is not to be left out still however as a smoke gank results in the untimely death for iceiceice and while the rest of the EHOME squad teleports in, Execration backs away to safety, and proceeds to secure the first Aegis. The Chinese squad sensing trouble resorts to what they do best and that is securing the farm, but with iceiceice dying multiple times, and the items starting to pour in for both Nando and Abed, the Filipinos prove that they are still largely in the game. After a couple of safe plays, and netting 2 Tier 2s EHOME finally decide that they want to go uphill, however a much more prepared squad of Execration, with buybacks still live on their cores and a beautiful save from Kimo‘s Mirana who already managed to finish the Aghanim’s Scepter saves the day for Execration and turns the momentum in their favor. It’s all downhill from there for EHOME at that point out as multiple bad fights resulted in the Pinoys getting their first Barracks at mid, a second attempt at the top lane still managed to help EHOME survive with the surprise Refresher ultimate from old chicken partenered by Fenrir‘s Supernova, however with the buyback on iceiceice already spent, all Execration needed to do was to reset and reinitiate, and finally securing their 2nd set of Barracks and ultimately forcing the GG out of EHOME after eliminating 4 heroes, and forcing multiple buybacks.

Battle log

The Lifestealer infest bomb will see its first light of day in this series as EHOME secures the Lifestealer for iceiceice with old Eleven on the Nyx Assasin, Execration on the other hand will once again opt for a dual heavy core lineup with Nando now handling the Juggernaut and Abed on the midlane Phantom Lancer. A slow laning phase if not for the back and forth kills secured by the Supports of both teams was the case for Game 2, however, multiple back and forth exchanges resulted in a neck to neck mid-game battle with both teams trying to build up a lead over the other, Execration may have had the upper hand after an extended teamfight at top and Tim‘s amazing Boulder Smashes on the Earth Spirit helped secure at least 2 kills for Execration. EHOME will not be late on their response however as they take out both Abed and Nando at the middle lane after a successful midlane rotation which in turn also slowly opened up the tower push, now, with the Midas on iceiceice EHOME‘s farm picks up its pace as the charts slowly lean towards their favor. Another smoke gank is attempted once again by EHOME, quickly initiating on RR‘s Batrider, however with the rest of the Execration squad already ready to back him up, a beautiful setup leads to disaster on EHOME‘s side as 4 of their heroes get run down on the Radiant jungle. Another disastrous attempt follows up for EHOME as iceiceice gets trapped in Execration‘s Tier 2 tower at mid, with Kimo placing a beautiful Static Storm to drive the rest of the Chinese squad out of their territory. Back and forth was still the story for this game thus far, as both teams try and find valuable targets all over the map, but the slingshot offered by the Midas on iceiceice managed to help secure EHOME a Tier 2 tower and slowly chips away Execration‘s map presence. As the game finally tilts towards their favor, EHOME greatly abuses their initiation prowess by utilizing the Nyx plus Lifestealer bomb and forcing a premature Static Storm out of Kimo before re-engaging, also at this point EHOME has multiple Eul’s Scepters at the ready in case Nando wishes to dive in with the Omnislash. With the Static Storm problem out of the way and Abed still looking towards the Manta Style on his Phantom Lancer, EHOME goes uphill with an BKB-ed iceiceice Lifestealer on the lead with a Fenrir Phoenix on the backline, and with Execration always forced to use Kimo‘s Static Storm, and RR‘s Lassos not landing on important targets, the Chinese manages to break through the Filipino base, securing one set of Barracks after the other and tieing the series 1-1.

Battle Log

Execration goes for very greedy team up of Alchemist and Morphling on Abed and Nando respectively while EHOME runs a cheesy split push lineup with Naga Siren on iceiceice and Fenrir‘s Keeper of the Light. The game was off to a pretty hot start as multiple back and forth exchanges by both teams forcing the issue out of each other is the story of the laning phase, however, EHOME was able to gain the early upper hand up until towards minute 13 with a significant lead on the net worth. Execration is not to falter however as their dual heavy core lineup pays off slowly but surely with Abed leading on the networth and rushing up the farm with his early Radiance and Manta Style buildup. Even so, Execration may yet to answer as horrible fights build up one after another with EHOME securing the kills on iceiceice’s Naga Siren and slowly pushing into Execration‘s Tier 2s. A huge teamfight breaks out at mid in the favor of EHOME as they nearly wipe out Execration with old eleven‘s Axe getting a triple kill, iceiceice still sits 5000 below on the net worth against Abed, but Nando is still struggling to find his farm for damage as EHOME‘s draft is getting tankier by the minute. A clash at top ends in EHOME‘s favor once again as Kimo, Abed and RR fall victim to the Chinese, which then leads to a Tier 2 midlane push by EHOME, the graph does not look good for the Filipino team at this point with EHOME already surpassing the 15,000 Net Worth mark. With the lead on their hands and their supports getting stacked, EHOME proceeds to execute their uphill plans but are promptly stopped by Execration‘s defense as the Filipino squad still manages to stay in the game for a little longer with Nando and Abed looking to score a comeback, leading the team’s pushback into EHOME‘s base. Sadly, the push, and the defense, however valiant, will not be strong enough against the Naga Siren as the near 1-hour skirmish ends in favor of EHOME.
