The king secures their spot at TI and will once again try and take home a title as they defeat the European Escape Gaming.

After years of multiple failed attempts, the king, EHOME, is back to try and claim a TI championship title once again after a decisive match against Escape Gaming ends in a 2-0 throwdown.

Game 1

Picks

Escape Gaming EHOME
qojqva old Chicken
Era iceiceice
KheZu old Eleven
Yapzor Fenrir
Synderen old LanM

Battle Log

Escape Gaming opts for a battle heavy lineup with the core Drow Ranger on Era and qoqjva‘s Invoker while leaving KheZu on the Faceless Void for teamfight control, however, EHOME plans to fight them head on and secure the push with their Naga Siren and Death Prophet draft on iceiceice and old Chicken. Escape has managed to dictate the early flow of the gaming with kills being scored by KheZu and qoqjva although in exchange they will be giving up a Tier 1 tower at the top lane, Escape managed to respond by pushing EHOME‘s Tier 1 at the bottom field. EHOME positioned themselves for a push at bottom which resulted in a heavy exchange causing the deaths of multiple heroes from Escape‘s defense line and at the same time, giving up 2 of their towers towards the Chinese squad. Escape was not about to give up yet as both qoqjva and Era scramble to fight against EHOME who are securing objective after objective with ease, and iceiceice as well as old Chicken getting really, really scary with their farm. Escape still tried to hold on to whatever is left for them on Game 1 but the Octarine pickup by iceiceice and old Chicken which complemented their survivability through their AoE DPS is more than enough for Escape to even try and outdamage them, and the Europeans will call out the GG at minute 44.

Game 2

Picks

Escape Gaming EHOME
qojqva old Chicken
Era iceiceice
KheZu old Eleven
Yapzor Fenrir
Synderen old LanM

Battle Log

A surprise Storm Spirit pickup for qoqjva will be the initial point of interest for Game 2, followed by Era‘s Slark and Synderen on the Keeper of the Light, EHOME will stick to their guns however, as they look for a more traditional draft with the Anti Mage on iceiceice and old Eleven’s Batrider. Both teams aimed to secure the laning phase as a couple of kills took place with much participation from the cores. The tune if the fight seemed to shift back and forth however, as nothing but chaos ensued from both sides with qoqjva, YapZor, KheZu, iceiceice and old Chicken participating actively in most of the skirmishes. While the game seemed even, EHOME is slowly racking up on their momentum as they secure one outer tower after the other slowly exposing Escape‘s base. The Europeans will not falter however as they try to respond with qoqjva and KheZu and finding towers of their own, and nearly turning the game totally towards their favor after a disastrous fight leaves EHOME almost exposed. A new problem arises however, as iceiceice is still unstopable in his farm with Era finding a hard time to get even as Escape is more focused on winning the teamfights. With the late game tilting towards their favor and another Aegis secures, EHOME wastes no time romping through Escape‘s base, first taking out the Middle lane Barracks and proceeding to dismantle both the Bottom and Top lanes finally forcing out the GG from Escape Gaming.

EHOME will be the first team from the Wildcards to qualify for the Groupstage, and will be joining fellow Chinese teams VG Reborn and Newbee in Group B of the Main Groupstage.
