A TV Show based on League of Legends is coming this Fall 2016
Esports is going to TV again, or at least this time through fictional stories.
If ever you wondered about the journeys of your favorite League of Legends players on the road to becoming pros, then perhaps beActive’s newest series, The Players might just be right show for you.
First started filming last June, and just recently wrapped up and ready for release, The Players is a fictional 12-part online, or a 2-part TV series following the journey of a band of League of Legends players in their journey towards the European League of Legends Championship Series. beActive states that the show will mostly focus “on the lives and troubles that this new generation face” and as well as the role of technology in the players lives, hopes and dreams.
The Players is written the EMMY Award nominated writer Nuno Bernardo and will be released for both the Web and TV platforms, with the web version being 8 episodes, with each episode spanning 12 minutes, and the TV version further divided into 2, one 2-episode version with 48 minutes each episode, and a 1-episode version that contains the whole 90-minute footage.
The Players is planned for release this coming Fall 2016.
