With already less than a week to go before Day 1 of TI6, Valve has officially revealed its itinerary for the upcoming tournament, as well as the list of broadcast talent, composed of hosts and commentators from different Dota 2 broadcast studios.

Kicking off with the Wildcard matches to determine the last team to complete the tournament lineup, TI6 will officially start this coming August 2, 2016, with the 4 wildcard participants, Execration, compLexity Gaming, Fantastic Five and EHOME going head to head for the last TI spot.

The Groupstage battles will then commence the following day, August 3, 2016 and will run until August 5, 2016 to determine team seeds in the main event which will commence on August 8 to 13, 2016. Both the Groupstages and the Main event will follow TI’s traditional format, with 2 groups of 8 teams farming for wins, with the top scorers heading for the upper bracket in the playoffs, while the bottom 4 of each group to gain another shot at the title in the lower brackets.

In addition to the tournament format, Valve has also announced the lineup of the English Broadcast team featuring talents from studios such as JoinDOTA and Beyond The Summit, usual faces such as TobiWan, GoDz, LD and ODPixel will once again appear on the TI broadcast stage, although sadly, the statistician and analyst Alan “Nahaz” Bester will not be part of this year’s broadcast team.

While the English team has already been revealed, Valve is still yet to announce the Broadcast lineups for other main languages, Chinese and Russian, although it is presumed that Russia’s Dota2RUHub and China’s MarsDotaTV will again have the lion’s share of talent for both languages.
