Team Secret is the third team to pull out of Nanyang Championships.
Visa issues are not the only concerns that a team may have when participating in tournaments abroad most especially when it is TI season, for a plethora of reasons might be the case for a team’s absence at a potential LAN title.
This notion is the present case of Team Secret who just recently announced their withdrawal from the upcoming Nanyang Championships, but unlike Evil Geniuses and Fnatic Dota who backed out because of VISA concerns, Secret will withdraw from the tournament due to issues with the event itself.
The Nanyang Championships is reportedly organized by KeyTV, organizer of the undeniably discouraging Shanghai Major, a Valve-sponsored event that has been plagued by numerous issues, ranging from production concerns, to team items and equipment being ransacked from supposedly secure hotel rooms.
No additional information is available yet as to which team will be replacing Secret, and as of the moment only Newbee is the remaining directly invited team, with Fnatic Dota being replaced by LGD-Gaming, and Evil Geniuses to be replaced by a runner up from the Chinese Qualifiers.
