Nexon’s Ghost in the Shell MMO enters Open Beta phase
The MMO take on the critically acclaimed anime series, Ghost in the Shell is nearing its full release as Nexon finally moves the game into open beta mode.
The MMORPG adaptation to Masamune Shirow’s Ghost in the Sell series, Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex First Assault by Korean gaming giant Nexon has just ended its early access phase and has now moved into the free open beta, anticipating its release sometime later this year.
Picking up its lore from beyond the Standalone Complex storyline, GitS: SC First Assault will feature new characters in the GitS universe, as well as iconic ones such as Chief Daisuke Aramaki. The game is set on the FPS perspective, and contains a wide array of character customization features, together with different playstyle mechanics involving Turret creation and even stealth.
In addition to its free Open Beta launch, Nexon has also added a new mode called Ghost Assault, a PvE which pits players against “ghosts” in a survival-style arena, which greatly utilizes the game’s hyper sprint and thermo optic mechanics.
