A new brand of entertainment is set to happen in Las Vegas, although this time, it may not just stay in Las Vegas.

Once home to the recently concluded EVO Championship Series 2016, more Esports titles are bound to arrive at the Entertainment Capital of the world with the newest venture between Ultimate Media Ventures and SLS Hotel, Resort and Casino.

Taking cue from the wild success of EVO 2016, the joint venture of UMV and SLS will give birth to the “Battle at the Strip”, a planned series of tournaments featuring different popular Esports titles like Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and many others.

Jon Bukosky of UMV states that they are “thrilled to offer this one-of- a-kind tournament experience in one of the best venues in Las Vegas” and adds that competitions will happen on a rotating basis, in an effort to showcase all the planned game titles. Ultimate Media Ventures is one of the names behind the 2016 North American CS:GO Major Championshiop, MLG Columbus, held last April in Columbus, Ohio.

Although generally known for casinos, and entertainment, Las Vegas has long been the home of competitive gaming through the way of numerous Fighting Game titles as it serves as the host city for numerous EVO Championship events since 2005. More information regarding the Battle on the Strip tournament series will be made in the coming weeks.
