First Secret, and now Digital Chaos, no doubt about it bois, Na’Vi is definitely back in one of the most flashy finishes at that as they end the Winner’s Match series for Group B with 2-0.

Game 1

Dendi Nyx Mid Puck w33
Ditya Ra Weaver Carry Clinkz Resolut1on
GeneraL Beastmaster Offlane Batrider Moo
Sonneiko VS Support MiSeRy
Artstyle Chen Support Phoenix Saksa

Game 1 featured some of the most uncommon hero choices for the current meta such as Ditya Ra‘s Weaver and Dendi who handled Nyx to counter w33‘s Puck. A bit of a slow start it seemed up until the 3-minute mark when Ditya Ra managed to get the kill on Moo‘s Batrider, followed up by an exchange which resulted in both team’s supports dying to the carries. Na’Vi started to take control of the advantage right after the Tier 1 push at the Top lane, but DC was quick to follow up with a push of their own at mid after w33 managed to squash the Nyx. Back and forth engagements happened soon after and Ditya Ra picking up the Aegis of the Immortal at around minute 15. Still DC is never say die as a failed skirmish resulted in a triple kill for Moo but sadly, the kills were not able to convert into a push, at least right after. w33 got his Blink Dagger at minute 20, and it proved to be way too late against Na’Vi as the death of the Batrider, Puck and even Phoenix resulted in DC losing their bottom lane Tier 2 and 3 with the barracks coming right after. Na’Vi wasted no time and gave no chance for Digital Chaos to retaliate as they proceeded to open up the top lane and forcing DC to call the GG at 24 minutes.

Game 2

Dendi Mid w33
Ditya Ra Carry Resolut1on
GeneraL Beastmaster Offlane Moo
Sonneiko Phoenix Support MiSeRy
Artstyle Support Winter Wyvern Saksa

w33‘s fabled Invoker made its way to Game 2 as both DC and Na’Vi opted for teamfight heavy and late game lineups. Moo, Saksa and MiSeRy set the tone of the early game netting kills on GeneraL, Artstyle and Ditya Ra, forcing Na’Vi to play defensively for a good chunk of the game’s duration. Multiple towers started to go down from Na’Vi as all of their Tier 1s were pushed down by DC at around 10-13 minutes, and DC continuing to build up on their lead for a good 30 minutes. Trouble started to brew for DC for even with their advantage they still can’t push through with the uphill siege as Dendi proved to be really problematic on his Tinker, creating space for the rest of Na’Vi and making them catch up on the farm. A spike of hope went on the way of Na’Vi as they were able to take down the Tier 3 mid tower of DC slowly exposing their Barracks.  Push attempts, and big teamfights became the name of the game from beyond the 30-minute mark as Na’Vi started to siege through DC‘s lineup, with Ditya Ra‘s Lone Druid already catching up on the farm. While multiple sieges are being done from both sides, the first Barracks to be ever taken down was Na’Vi‘s Top as Digital Chaos managed to push through enemy lines with w33 and Resolut1on leading the pack.

60-minute rax? I never thought I’d see the day.

Multiple pickoffs after Na’Vi was able to take a set of Barracks of their own as Ditya Ra tanks through all of the damage, while keeping his bear alive and tearing up DC‘s Top Lane Melee Barracks. Still Na’Vi was able to hold on and an action-packed fight near Roshan forced 3 buybacks from them managed to win the fight against Digital Chaos with Saksa, MiSeRy and Moo down for the count and only Resolut1on and w33 left to defend, still this was not the Opening that Na’Vi was looking for as they continued to drain the map of its gold and even having Dendi farm for his 8th item right after the Roshan takedown.

Farm! Farm Dendi, Farm!

Farm! Farm Dendi, Farm!

Na’Vi regrouped thereafter and went uphill again this time, finishing the job at top and moving in towards the Middle lane, now with 2 sets of Barracks down DC sought to create and opening for themselves as a mega creep push attempt at the bottom lane netted 3 kills for Moo and making w33 go full right click with his Invoker who now managed to secure a Divine Rapier at minute 89. Now moving uphill with everything to win and everything to lose, Digital Chaos opens up the teamfight with Resolut1on on the double Chronosphere but it was a bit disastrous as they were not able to secure the needed kills on Na’Vi‘s Cores, and even though DC pulled through and started to knock down the Tier 4s of Na‘Vi, the Ukrainians made multiple TPs inside DC‘s already exposed based and raced them towards the Ancient, finally securing the victory at 91 minutes.

Na'Vi pulls off what is so far the flashiest finishes to one of Dota 2's best pro matches.

Natus Vincere will now find themselves a sweet spot at the Upper Bracket for the Main Event while Digital Chaos will have to wait for the winner between Team Secret and Wings Gaming to help decide their main event fate.
